Felver is best-known for his portraits of writers, particularly the Beats, which have been published in The Poet Exposed; Angels, Anarchists & Gods; and Ferlinghetti: Portraits. Ken Kesey wrote One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest; Sometimes a Great Notion; and other books.
