Robin Hood: A Collection of All the Ancient Poems, Songs and Ballads, Now Extant, Relative to that Celebrated English Outlaw: To Which Are Prefixed Historical Anecdotes of His Life

Notes: A new edition of Ritson's 1795 work, here with most of the editorial notes removed, "to produce a book which could with propriety be put into the hands of young persons... [and] that this little volume will prove peculiarly acceptable at the present moment, in consequence of the hero, and his merry companions, having been recently portrayed in the most lively colours by the masterly hand of the author of Ivanhoe," Sir Walter Scott.

lxxiv, 240 pages.

Edition + Condition: A very good copy in the original printed boards and brown paper spine (with a pasted-on spine label). In all, a nice early 19th century children's book in original condition. The sheets are much smaller than the boards and the paper is chipped at the spine ends.

Publication: London: Printed for Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, and Brown, 1820.
