The text is letterpress printed from handset type on handmade paper, then bound Japanese-style with twine. The book is laid into a folding paper case printed with dramatic images of a male head filled with a maze. The design and illustration are by Ernesto Blanco Sanciprián.

Fornet is a prominent Cuban literary critic.
