Poetry from a Matanzas writer who won the Premio América Bobia for this collection in 1988. The colophon of the book is dated both 1988 and 1989. It seems most likely that the publication was finished in 1989.

This chapbook is designed and illustrated by Alfredo Zaldívar, one of the founders of Ediciones Vigía. The illustrations, both printed and collaged, are based on playing card designs; most are handcolored. This is a very typical book from the late 1980s, printed on low-quality paper with simple and repeated design elements.
