Original Drawing by the Illustrator of Charlotte's Web
[New York Window Washer Original Drawing]

Probably from 1943 to 1946, when Williams was a staff illustrator for the New Yorker magazine. Only seven of his drawings ever appeared in the magazine during his three years there, but it did lead to a connection with New Yorker writer E. B. White, who recommended Williams to illustrate his children's books, Stuart Little and Charlotte's Web.
Edition + Condition: A fine example signed in the upper left corner with initials. Small red tick mark in the upper right corner.
