This book, designed by Rolando Estévez, is a good example of a transitional work between the classic Ediciones Vigía style and the more elaborate works he has produced under the Ediciones El Fortín imprint.

Domínguez's poems are reproduced using a photocopier from Estévez's handwritten manuscript. Each text page has the poem title in a handcolored frame that folds out to reveal the verse underneath. The endpapers and pastdown reproduce drawings of logs which are fully handcolored. Additional elements lift up and fold out and the author's name, serving a part of the title page, is affixed to mesh, a favorite material of Estévez's current work. The covers, a three-fold structure, are handcolored and collaged, with a bit of an actual tree root emerging from the central illustration. The colophon refers to the design as "an intense manual illumination " ("una intensa iluminación manual"). The design is inspired by the title poem and plant imagery in some of the others.

A significant and successful book demonstrating many elements of Estévez's current style.
