A striking feminist artist's book. A collection of 17 connected stories or vignettes in which the narrator describes the daily disrespect, discrimination, and violence she faces as a woman. The author is a journalist and theater critic.
The book is photocopied on tan recycled paper interspersed with sheets of collaged illustrations. The visual theme, by Mayra Alpízar Linares, incorporates traditionally femine motifs—a compact, lipstick, female nude figures—and encloses the book in a cloth-covered case in the form of a clutch decorated with a cloth flower.
