The Love Letters
Notes: A novel alternating between two main characters, a young American wife in the 1960s and a Portuguese nun in the 17th century.
Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing stated). A near fine copy in a very good dust jacket with a short tear at the top of the spine. With a terrific full-page inscription by L'Engle, who has copied out her popular poem, "The Birth of Love" in full on the front free endpaper. The poem is "for Phil" and it signed "& love from Madeleine."
