Notes: A mystery novel whose plot is outlined in the title. The author's first book, which he wrote during his Junior year at the school. According to a Harvard Crimson article (23 March 1937), the book sold 9000 copies.

Edition + Condition: An advance reading copy, about very good in wrappers (missing a small piece from the lower right corner). Minor loss to the spine. Generally a very good copy of a scarce format.
