Notes: A farce, in verse, by this early Mexican dramatist and (later) diplomat and politician.

Gorostiza (1789–1851), was born in Mexico, grew up in Spain, spent some years in London, and then returned to Mexico in the 1830s, where he was a fierce nationalist and a crusader against the Texas Republic.

120 pages. 4-1/2 by 6-1/4 inches.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). An exceptional copy, entirely uncut and bound in rough, unprinted, gray paper wrappers, entirely as issued by the printer. Rather scarce.
