Notes: An advance copy, preceding the first edition, of the third book in the Passages trilogy. This edition includes a one-page introduction by Cronin that does not (I don't think) appear in the finished book. Cronin begins, "Ten years ago, my eight-year-old daughter, riding her bicycle, challenged me to write a story about 'a girl who saves the world.'"
Edition + Condition: The Advance Reader's Edition (a.k.a., advance reading copy). Near fine in wrappers (paperback). This copy is nicely inscribed by Cronin, referencing the introduction, "For Bryce—another daughter-inspired writer. All eyes. Justin Cronin." While the current trend in collecting is to prefer copies that are just signed, I still think that good inscriptions are better and more interesting.
Publication: New York: Ballantine Books, 2016.
