Notes: Eggleston's first book, a landmark photobook of color images of suburbia that was published for an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art.
Eggleston's "subjects are almost generically American, and their uncanny familiarity is part of their power and beauty"—Roth, Book of 101 Books, a guide to the seminal photobooks of the 20th century, p. 234.

Still a solid copy, inscribed by Eggleston on the title page.
