Notes: One of Brabury's most beloved books, a Halloween-themed story for children of all ages. Illustrated by Joseph Mugnaini. This version has new cover art, by Leo and Diane Dillon.
Edition + Condition: Possibly the first printing with this cover, although I don't have enough evidence to be sure. In any case, there's no later printing indicated (other copies with this cover have a printing numberline); the copyright information is in a different typeface than the rest of the copyright page (fixed in later printings); and there is an ISBN for a library binding (removed from later versions). This is a very good to near fine hardcover in a very good dust jacket with wear at the corners. The price ($12.95) is still present.
This copy has a full-page jack-o-lantern drawing by Bradbury inscribed "Diane! [drawing] Ray Bradbury. Dec. 6, '91". The Sharpie marker used has offset a bit onto the jacket (as a faint yellow shadow)
