Notes: A history and detailed analysis of the mechanism of the Farnese (or Parma) Planisferologio, one of the most complicated clocks ever constructed. It was built at the beginning of the eighteenth century by the Italian watchmaker Bernardo Facini of Parma, working on technical studies by the mathematician Geminiano Montanari.
