Marruz is a noted Cuban poet; this book was published to honor her during the 2014 Semana del Autor, hosted by the Casa de las Américas publishing house. She is also the widow of the writer Cintio Vitier.
The poem is assembled from several photocopied sheets laid down on paper decorated with a textile design. The borders are a handcolored and collaged vine-and-park-bench design by Elizabeth Valero.
The enclosing box is constructed from cardboard scraps and collaged paper and fabric.
