Notes: The 12th Travis McGee mystery. This is the first hardcover edition, published in February 1972, a month before the UK, according to Firsts Magazine (Nov. 2002, John D. MacDonald special issue). The true first was a massmarket paperback, published in 1970.
Edition + Condition: First hardcover edition (first printing). Minor wear to the edges and a small spot on the edge of the half-title, but a very nice copy, in a like dust jacket. The jacket is slightly smaller than the book, which is how the jacket for this book was manufactured. The jacket is priced at $5.50 and has the code 372 at the top of the front flap, as called for.
