Beginners: The Original Version of What We Talk about When We Talk about Love
Notes: Carver's influential collection of stories, What We Talk About When We Talk About Love, was cut by half during two rounds of editing by Gordon Lish. This version, edited by William Stull and Maureen Carroll, returns the stories to their original text, as Carver submitted it for publication. This new edition was issued as a paperback original in the US.
Edition + Condition: First printing (with a numberline ending in 1). A fine copy in wrappers (paperback). This copy has been signed by Carver's widow, the poet Tess Gallagher, and is uncommon signed.
Publication: New York: Vintage Contemporaries, 2009.
