Notes: Le Guin's first science fiction novel, first published as a paperback original Ace Double (with a novel by another writer) in 1966. The first separate edition was hardcover edition for libraries in 1975, which did not have a dust jacket. This is technically the second hardcover edition, but it's also the first one that looks like a proper novel.
This is also the first of the Hainish novels, a cycle that ended with The Left Hand of Darkness and The Dispossessed.
With a new introduction by Le Guin written for this edition and a few textual changes. 136 pages.
Edition + Condition: First printing of this edition, with a numberline ending in 1. A fine copy in a fine dust jacket with no fading to the spine lettering. Signed by Le Guin. Scarce signed and in this condition.
