Notes: A fantasy story about three boys who hear a train whistle at night and magically find themselves aboard the Dreamland Express, whizzing through a landscape inhabited by wizards, giants, and magical creatures. With brightly colored illustrations throughout by the author and three supposed "photographs" taken by the protagonists as proof.
56 pages plus 15 full-page illustrations, all but the photos in color. 11 by 8-3/4 inches (oblong).
Edition + Condition: First American edition. A good to very good copy, lacking the scarce dust jacket. Corners worn; a few leaves with tears in the margins; a bit of a child's coloring on the cover.
