This copy is inscribed by Nozick to his Harvard colleague (and fellow National Book Award winning author) Stephen Jay Gould, "For Steve from Bob." This copy came from Gould's Harvard office library and includes a bookplate denoting the provenance. Gould was a leading evolutionary theorist and one of the most popular science writers of his day.
