Notes: A collection of short, comic stories about hotel life, by the illustrator best-known for his Madeline children's books. Bemelmans contributes two-color illustrations at the beginning of the chapters.

This is one of 245 numbered copies, "bound in the draperies of a famous New York hotel." (There were also 60 copies for private distribution, that have a handwritten notation to that effect).

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A near fine copy, bound in curtain cloth. In a very good cardstock slipcase with a matching number on the spine. This is copy 60 of 245 signed by the author.
