Notes: A science fiction space saga, the first volume in the Hyperion Cantos, and the winner of both the Hugo and Locus awards in 1990. One of the standout SF novels of the last quarter of the 20th century.
The book was issued in hardcover and paperback simultaneously with the hardcover printing frequently cited as just 2000 copies, a plausible but possibly unsubstantiated number. The book has gone on to sell more than a million copies world wide, and it is, in any case, increasingly uncommon in the hardcover first edition.
Edition + Condition: First edition (stated, hardcover issue). A near fine, sharp hardcover copy in a fine dust jacket. Top edge is a bit dusty and the tops of the boards a bit sunstruck, but otherwise very nice. Signed by Simmons on the title page.
