This copy is identified on the colophon as the publisher's copy. From experience with other Lord John Press books, there might be more than one such copy. The binding is the same brown pebbled fabric used on the lettered versions.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A fine hardcover copy but for a few small spots on the edge of the page block; apparently an issue with the binding of the book that is common to the lettered copies. No jacket, as issued. This copy has the printed notation on the colophon: "This is the publisher's copy." Below that Bradbury signed his name and added, "With thanks, great thanks!"
