Notes: One of 100 hardcover copies of this anthology of crime stories set in Boston. Lehane contributes an introduction and a short story, Animal Rescue. That story, first published here, was adapted into a screenplay by Lehane, then released as the movie The Drop (James Gandalfini's last film). The screenplay was adapted again by Lehane into the novel of the same name. While its path is rather convoluted, this is thus a film source.
