Notes: A collection of essays about films and film-making signed by scores of authors, directors, screenwriters, actors, and a US president on sheets bound in at the front and back of the book. Many of the film industry signers won Academy Awards and Golden Globes for their work.

In editor and publisher Herb Yellin's introduction, he explains the idea of the blank pages, a concept that he first introduced in his book Signatures: "There was also an abundance of white space, and what went unsaid [in Signatures] (and perhaps I was remiss in not stating it) was that each book, as delivered to the purchaser, was intended as a jumping-off point, an opportunity for each owner to gather within it their own choice of contributors and signatories ultimately making each book unique."
