This is one of 26 lettered copies, signed by McMurtry. The limited edition was created by adding a rubberstamped limitation notice to the front blank of copies of the first trade printing. Issued in a very nice slipcase by Robert Wang.

While McMurtry owned a large bookstore in Archer City, he didn't typically sell his own books. Instead, he arranged for the nearby Three Dog Books to offer them for sale. For a number of years, they issued these signed limited editions with each new McMurtry book.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A fine copy in a fine dust jacket. Slipcase fine. Lettered and signed by the author on the limitation page.
