Notes: 2-1/2 by 4-1/4 inches. Carte de visite photograph of the Boston actress (1816-1876) and direct descendant of Robert Cushman who helped organize the Mayflower voyage to the Americas. Cushman performed in several Shakespearean plays, including the role of Romeo opposite her sister in the role of Juliet. President Abraham Lincoln saw her perform in a production of Macbeth in Washington D.C.

Edition + Condition: Nearly fine with minor wear and toning to the edges.
