Thirty odd science book new arrivals, from the late 19th and 20th century, including a number of signed books. With works on medicine, microscopy, biology, and other disciplines.

These kinds of Americana documents, reports published by the US Congress, have gone somewhat out of fashion, but this selection is more interesting than most. Topics include a conspiracy theory about the Texan-Santa Fe expedition, a key document related to Native American sovereignty, a nasty political witch hunt in Colorado against the backdrop of impeachment, and William Tecumseh Sherman and US Grant warning, "we must of necessity use the musket pretty freely" against Native Americans.

Signed books from Larry McMurtry, Toni Morrison, Jeanette Winterson, and many other writers. Also, several Charles Willeford and Charles Portis novels.

This week, there are 28 new arrivals in Modern First Editions, including three signed books by Toni Morrisons, several Jim Harrison titles, a few John Gardners, and an elaborate Michael Connelly proof in a custom books (that must have cost several hundred dollars to make).
