The comics and pulps returned to the James Strand family after they were stolen in 2023. Many were recovered by the FBI. Some were returned by the people who bought them from the thieves and fences.

The first list of books from the collection of James Strand, most of whose collection was stolen after he died in August 2023. Many of these books are crime fiction he bought new in the last 1950s and 1960s. Most weren't stolen; a few were seized by law enforcement from the thieves and come with the evidence tags.
