Pogany Illustrations
Parsifal or the Legend of the Holy Grail, retold from Antient Sources
Publication: London: Harrap & Co, 1912. First Thus.
Notes: A beautiful illustrated edition of the legend of Parsifal (also written as Parzival and Percival) lithographed throughout in four colors, with full-page illustrations by Pogany, both tinted and full color.
About 200 pages (not paginated). Roughly 7-3/4 by 11-1/4 inches.
Edition + Condition: First Pogany edition (I think; with the date MCMXII on the colophon). There were several bindings for this book; this copy is bound in gray-green cloth, with an illustration of Parsifal on the cover, highlighted with gilt. The spine is tanned; presumably lacking a dust jacket.
