Tres tristes tigres (translated into English as Three Trapped Tigers) is a key Latin American avant garde novel set in the pre-Castro cabaret society in Cuba. Cabrera Infante employs blank pages (a section entitled "Algunas revelaciones" [Some Revelations]), concrete-poetry style layouts, puns, and even a page with the type set in a mirror image of the facing page.

Edition + Condition: A very good copy in printed wrappers (pages browning, as usual ), with the dust jacket reproducing a photograph of Afro-Cuban musicians. This copy is signed by the author on the first blank. Uncommon in the jacket and especially signed.
