Notes: First appearance of "The Enthusiast," the first chapter of All We Need of Hell, published in an edition of 200 copies. The edition included 150 numbered copies for sale and 50 copies reserved for the author and publisher and designated with Roman numerals. This is one of the reserved copies bound in marbled paper covered boards with mounted labels on the front cover and the spine.

Accompanying this is a review copy in plain brown printed wrappers, signed by Crews on the colophon, but not numbered.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printings). A nice pair—one of the author's or publisher's copies (no. xxxvii) with the uncommon review issue. The books are near fine, with light shelf wear. These came from the collection of Tom Garner and are housed in one of his distinctive black cloth clamshell boxes.
