Angels Flight [Special Edition]

Notes: A special issue of the sixth Harry Bosch novel, which is centered on a murder on the platform of Angels Flight, a funicular railway in Los Angeles. That plotline featured in one season of the Bosch TV show.

This is one of 300 copies produced by Connelly as a benefit for the railway, which was shut down in 2001 following a fatal accident. Connelly commissioned a custom dust jacket for first edition copies of the book and sold them to raise funds for repairs and upgrades. Each of the 300 copies produced are signed by Connelly on the title page and on a laid-in letter. An unused ticket to the railway is also laid in.

Many of these copies were sold outside of the book collecting market and copies are rather scarce, particularly compared to Connelly's other limited editions.

393 pages.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A fine copy in a fine, custom dust jacket. Signed by the author on the title page. Single page printed "Dear Reader" letter laid in, also signed by Connelly. A 2001 ticket for the Angels Flight funicular is also laid in, as issued.

Publication: New York: Little, Brown and Company, 1999.
