Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing with a numberline ending in 1). A near fine to fine copy in a fine second issue (or printing) dust jacket. Signed by Burke on the title page. This copy comes from the collection of the late Tom Garner and is housed in one of his distinctive black-cloth clamshell boxes, which has faded to gray at the spine (the gray looks alright; you can only tell it's faded when you pull it off the shelf).
The first issue dust jacket has a matte finish that is very susceptible to wear. The second issue jacket is very shiny; they are otherwise identical. Copies of the second printing definitely came with the shiny jackets; it's unclear whether the remaining copies of the first printing were re-jacketed or if this first printing book was married to a second printing jacket.
