Notes: The author's final novel, here assembled into a nice collection by the late collector Tom Garner: a first edition, a proof, and an advance reading copy (ARC) housed in a clamshell box.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A near fine copy in a near fine dust jacket (minor wear). This copy is inscribed on the title page, "For Tom, Get it all! Harry Crews." The ARC has a bent corner but is otherwise fine; it is inscribed, "For Tom—Keep it together, pal. Harry Crews." The proof is fine but for the publication date sticker on the front cover, which has been partially removed (Tom got it that way). This book is inscribed with the author's typical humor: "Tom: Where did you get all these fucking books? Harry Crews."
