Zero Mostel Reads a Book
Notes: In 1963, the New York Times commissioned the great photographer Robert Frank to photograph the actor Zero Mostel (later most famous for playing Max Bialystock on the film versions of The Producers) hamming it up while reading a book. This comic photo monograph was given away to attendees at the American Booksellers Association (ABA) convention in 1963.
44 pages; illustrated with black-and-white halftones; with a two-page introduction.
Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A fine copy in a near fine unprinted glassine jacket, which remains quite white. With minor chipping to the top edge. A short note on Times letterhead to booksellers is laid in.
