Notes: A sixteenth printing of this beloved Newbery Award winner with a full-page inscription by the author. Signed vintage copies of this chapter book, first published in 1967, are scarce on the market.

Edition + Condition: Early printing, eight years after the initial publication. A near fine to fine copy in a dust jacket that has faded a touch at the spine and which has a few tiny tears. The author inscribed this copy, filling the half-title page, "For Helene Van Grove with many thanks for many things and most especially for the kindness of a bright October day in 1977. Elaine Konigsburg." A lovely inscription.
