Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing, with no indication of later printings; 1950 copyright date on title page). A near fine copy in teal cloth, in an illustrated wrap-around dust jacket with several inch-long tears to the edges. Price clipped jacket with light chipping to the edges. Inscribed by Politi with a drawing of a bird. "For dear Tracy [& Holly, written in crayon in another hand] with affection Leo Politi 1959."
