Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A fine copy in a near fine dust jacket, with wear at the bottom of the spine. In a near fine slipcase. This is copy number 83.

Provenance: This copy belonged to the Lovecraft collector James Strand, with his estate bookplate on the front pastedown. He purchased it in 1979 from Robert Madle, an early SF dealer and fan for $50 (per Strand's handwritten acquisition list).
