Notes: A signed advance copy, preceding the first edition, of the third Jack Reacher novel. The UK edition of this book is the correct first, being published on April 15, 1999, compared to the US edition, which came out on June 1, 1999.

This proof is uncommon and has a somewhat different cover design than the first edition hardcover. The final design also incorporated a hook, but higher on the cover and pointing to the right (on the proof the sharp end points to the left).

Edition + Condition: A near fine copy with light shelf wear to the wrappers (paper covers). This copy is signed by Child on the title page. An uncommon proof that is ever scarcer signed.
