Notes: One of 52 lettered copies of this, the only complete edition of Bradbury's Mars stories, including those collected in The Martian Chronicles, 23 other short stories set on Mars, and two screenplays. The book also includes an introduction by Bradbury and essays by John Scalzi, Joe Hill, Marc Scott Zicree, and Richard Matheson. Illustrated with inserted color plates by Edward Miller. From a bibliographical standpoint, this is one of the most important Bradbury titles from Subterranean Press, collecting hard-to-find stories and unpublished screenplays.

Roughly 7-1/4 by 10-3/8 inches. 745 pages. One of 52 lettered copies, bound in a soft leather-like material stamped in gilt and purple. In a folding traycase.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). This is copy C, signed by Bradbury. The binding wears easily, in fact, it has an "inherent vice" which causes the binding material to flake and crumble over time. There is nothing to be done about it but handle is as little as possible. This copy has spots of wear at the spine; the gilt stamping on the cover is oxidizing and now has a greenish cast. The traycase, also covered with a soft material, is worn on the bottom and in a few other places. A cool book, just don't touch it.
