Poems in Spanish and English translation by the author photocopied on white paper. The book is illustrated with collage elements and handcoloring. The cover includes shells collected on the Playa de Judíos (the Jewish Beach) in Matanzas. Design, illustrations, and calligraphy by Rolando Estévez.

Behar is a Jewish Cuban-American anthropologist who met Estévez at the Havana Book Fair in 1994. Several collections of her poems have been published by Estévez and she is the co-editor of Handmade in Cuba: Rolando Estévez and the Beautiful Books of Ediciones Vigía (University of Florida Press, 2020).
