The book-like portion of this production consists of two leaves connected with a strip of cloth. The inside covers include the colophon and an about-the-author section digitally reproduced on white paper from Rolando Estévez's calligraphy. The scroll reproduces a typescript, in Spanish translation and English, describing the author's upbringing in a Sephardic household.
Behar is a Jewish Cuban-American anthropologist and close friend of Estévez. She is the co-editor of Handmade in Cuba: Rolando Estévez and the Beautiful Books of Ediciones Vigía (University of Florida Press, 2020).
