Notes: A single long poem by one of Cuba's great 20th century poets (1902–1989). The poem is printed with excellent results using an attractive sans serif font and Papiro's century-old printing equipment. The poem is illustrated with a collagraph of words related to the title poem composed by José Angel Vincench Barrera from lead type. Each copy uses the same design but with different inking.

The book's covers are blind embossed with a similar design and then decorated using a technique akin to marbling. The binding is a stab-binding using thin jute cord.

Edition + Condition: This copy is handnumbered 1 and was reserved for the press. The colophon has a printed limitation and an handwritten limitation number. The monoprint is inscribed to the press by the artist and the illustration is particularly vibrant. One corner of the back cover is missing (a half-inch triangle), else fine.
