Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A near fine copy (minor bumping and fading to spine ends; small stain on the title page) in a near fine jacket with just the mildest bumping to the spine ends. Unlike most copies, which acquire a grayish tinge over time, this jacket is still white. An attractive copy, inscribed by Dubus, "For Jim, whose folks have cojones—best wishes. Andre." After that intriguing, but unexplainable inscription, Dubus also signed in full on the title page.
