The first 200 copies of Hunger and Thirst came with a chapbook story, An In Sorrow, numbered on the colophon page.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A fine copy in a fine dust jacket. Signed by Matheson on the limitation page. This copy is still sealed in the publisher's shrinkwrap. The copy of And In Sorrow is signed on the title page by Matheson. Only a small number of copies were signed.
