Notes: The collected graphic novel of the first six issues of Monstress, a full-color, high-concept fantasy series by a Chinese-American writer and a Japanese artist. This initial installment in the series won the British Fantasy Award and the Hugo award. A later volume earned Liu the best-writer Eisner, the first time it was awarded to a woman in the thirty-year history of the prize. Monstress is one of the most acclaimed of the current graphic novel series.

This is the Convention Exclusive issue. Image Comics put out a trade paperback and six variant versions for specific retailers and events. This hardcover was available only at Comic-cons during the summer of 2016.

Edition + Condition: First edition (stated "first printing"), convention exclusive (identified on the back cover). A fine hardcover copy in illustrated boards (no jacket, as issued). This copy was signed by both Liu and Takeda on the front free endpaper at the NYCC (New York Comic-Con). Scarce in hardcover and scarce signed.
