Notes: This book was produced by Nicholas Calloway (who edited the Issey Miyake book with photos by Irving Penn) with an introduction by Alexander Liberman. Along with being married to Irving Penn, Lisa was a dancer, a model, a metal artist and much more.
This book, 94 pages, captures the life-long work of this artist both in text and photographs. The sections are; Life, Chronology, Sculpture, Prints and Drawings, and Sculpture Work Record.
Edition + Condition: A fine copy in cloth with illustrated dust jacket (fine) housed in the publisher's slipcase (very good plus). With the trust notecard of Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn inscribed "with love from Lisa (via her husband)." Lisa has drawn a small heart after her name. From the library of Peter Schub (1926–2021) who had a long and revered career as a photography agent. He negotiated for some of the most prominent photographers of the 20th century including Penn, Peter Beard, and Anthony Armstrong Jones.
