"What We're Fighting For": Statements by United States Servicemen about Americans of Japanese Descent

Notes: A collection of letters to the editor and excerpts from published interviews in which "American" (presumably meaning White) soldiers express support for Japanese Americans as soldiers in the war and as loyal citizens on the homefront. The pamphlet seems rather a low-budget affair, issued by the War Relocation Authority, the government body in charge of the interned Japanese, possibly to build support for the paroling of internees back to their communities, which was announced in late 1944 and effective January 1, 1945. But that's just a guess. There is no introduction or statement of purpose in the pamphlet.
