Notes: A picture book about a farm during a snowstorm, with acetate overlays for the illustrations, showing what the various animals look like buried in the snow. The farmer in the story is modeled after the author's neighbor, the wood engraver and book artist Barry Moser.
This book also features sound made by pressing a button on the rear pastedown.

Edition + Condition: First edition (with a numberline ending in 1). A fine copy in a fine acetate dust jacket. Signed by Carle on the title page. The batteries have been removed from this copy; the sound effect has not been tested.
