Collectors of modern first editions may recognize this book as the title published together with William S. Burroughs's first book, Junkie, which came out as an Ace Double paperback in 1953. This original publication is scarce.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing, with no indication of later printings). A very good copy in red cloth (also possibly found in green) in a very good dust jacket with mild shelfwear, some fading to the spine title, and shallow chipping at the top of the spine.
